WE really need to take our girl dog Dottie to the groomer, she is getting more and more tangled by the day. Dottie hates going to the groomer but we can not keep her hair short enough to keep it clean and untangled. She gets a whole lot of hitchhikers in her fur and makes it very hard to live with her. She loves to sleep with us and we can not let her in the bed if she has a lot of stickers in her fur and she is at that point right now. I will be taking her to the groomer on my next day off this upcoming week and it will not be a moment to soon.
It is so hard for me to believe that July is hear already it just seems like yesterday it was the start of the year, as you get older the days go by so fast. It seems such a short time ago I was in high school now I have grand kids in school, how did the time fly by so fast? I sometimes wish I was young again then it sets in that I did not have a great childhood and I am happy that I am old and set in my ways so I guess this is it.
We went to see a 3-D movie tonight and I was amazed at the effects this movie had, some of the items in the movie looked like they were going to hit us it was so real. I had never been to a 3-D movie and I do not know how many I will ever go to again but it was an experience I really enjoyed and was glad that we went to this movie. My grandson could not figure out the glasses and kept taking them off and I am sure he did not get the full effect of the 3-D and maybe we will have to take him to another 3-D movie when he gets a little older.
The last two days have been very hot and humid, it has been so hot that when I get home from work the very first thing I do is strip off and get in the shower. I can not stand myself I am soggy from sweat and that is not a great way to walk in this house, my wife can smell a stinky man for 6 blocks and I do not want that go shower look from her so I walk straight to the shower and wait to give her a hug when I get out of the shower, makes us both feel better that is for sure.
The price of regular gasoline here in Nashville has started going back up again and it has doubled in just a couple of months, we had got the price down to $1.25 a gallon and now it is over $2.50 a gallon in spots. I see it going back up to where it was late last year and that will be the end of many small businesses, I know the high gasoline prices last year took the wind out of the sails of our business and it never recovered. I hope to be able to start something else soon to make up the money we lost in our deliverey business and I need to get going very soon.
